Why am I in so much debt?
January 27th, 2010Fast food is like a drug. It keeps you happily oblivious to how much it is costing you as you blissfully hand your credit card over to the kid at the drive-through window, or pay off the pizza delivery guy. Then one day you wake up to reality.
I have a bizarre imagination, but it comes in handy in helping me think about debt and spending money and trying to control my urge to go on unlimited spending sprees or being lazy about cooking dinner and eating at home. If there was one thing that jumped out at my rocket scientist husband and I when we finally balanced our checkbook for the whole of 2009, it was how many times we ordered pizza and ate fast food. So that became my first topic for my finance and money-related cartoons.

Living in fast food denial.
